  1. Thirty tumblers from Stanley

    Thirty new 40 oz Stanley Quencher tumblers arrived in September, donated by Stanley through Good360. Twenty of them are going to a youth cheer team in Lake County, Illinois.

  2. Fifty pairs of new shoes for Hardeman County

    We now have 50 pairs of new shoes for Hardeman County, Tennessee, all through Good360. Twenty-four pairs of Nike and Jordan in toddler and little-kid sizes are in hand, boxed with the tags still on, and 26 pairs of Converse in larger sizes are on the way.

    New winter coats are planned through Operation Warm, where we are an approved partner. The first distribution in Hardeman County is planned for this winter.

  3. A Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid

    We completed our Candid profile and earned Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2026. Our programs, goals, board and IRS filings are on our Candid profile.

  4. Our board adopts written policies

    The board adopted an Operational Policies and Procedures Handbook covering financial controls, segregation of duties, procurement, conflicts of interest and records retention. A conflict of interest policy has been in place since 2024.

    For an organization run entirely by volunteers, writing these rules down is how we make sure the work is done the same careful way every time.

  5. The first Breakfast with Santa

    Forty-five children went home with new bicycles from our first Breakfast with Santa at McGrath Evanston Subaru. When we learned that some families with more than one child had picked out a single bike, we made sure every brother and sister got one too, seventy in all.

  6. Holiday help at P.L.A.N.

    We volunteered at P.L.A.N. Food Pantry’s holiday event in Round Lake Beach, packing food and toys for families, gave six new bicycles, and took part in the pantry’s toy drive.
